RE: Apprehension to lose Master Blaster

Hii friends…I was apprised of a blog some guy wrote , in which he talked about why he dint want india to win this World cup 2011 just because he is afraid that Master Blaster Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar will quit the game if India wins. May be this guy thinks that sachin envisages to give a farewell tribute to Indians and that’s why sachin has been waiting for this mighty quadrennial ICC Cricket World Cup 2011. He has eulogized sachin(which surely is deserved by the cricket god) but he says that he adores sachin so much that he will even quit watching cricket if there is no sachin in it.

I wrote this blog because I don’t really acquiesce with the opinion this guy held. Might be I find him much more clairvoyant, but I differ a bit with this chap. He is intimidated by the very thought of sachin leaving cricket. I don’t intend to write badinage to this SACHIN fanatic’s views. But in my opinion, no matter what the verdict of the world cup 2011 is, sachin will quit himself from the game.
We are aware of how briskly sachin has achieved fame and honor for himself and India. He has won several laurels for india, booked records (and even broke lots of them etched by Don Bradman and Brian Lara). Also everyone knows his avocation (virtually), endorsement of various commodities ranging from toothbrushes to sedans. No doubt he is the best sportsman india ever had (or may be will ever have). He indubitably made CRICKETism(or CRICKETianity…ahh whatver) the 5th major religion (besides of course Hinduism,Islam,Sikhism and Christianity) and the irony about this religion being that it is exclusively followed by the former four.

Talking about the master blaster quitting the game, he has been playing the game since a tender age to his present age of 37. When a child is supposed to learn tricycling, he held a cricket bat and vivified the gully area. He is a self made personality from scratch, born in a house of a novelist. He has been there in the good (World cup finals 2003) as well as the bad (World cup 1999) as well as the ugly (World cup 2007). No one can question his adroitness in cricket, but there is a limit to everything nature has created. He can’t do all his life, How could he. He gets atrophied like any other human on this earth. He just has been vividly waiting to give his career’s best in this world cup 2011 and that too which is being held on the holy land where he was born and raised. Referring to the annals of Cricket World, India won the world cup in ’83 on the playgrounds of england ,and now its being held on sachin's homeland itself making the World Cup ’11 even more valued to india(it hurts more if you are beat on your lands and that too in front of majority spectators being of your race). Of course, he will also get the full time devotion to his career in advertising and that will surely make up for what is lost when he will (or may) quit the game and he is surely going to be legendary in that like big B(old bones die hard). Also I anticipate another appendant restaurant christened to be Ramesh’s or may be Anjali’s with better cuisines of the worth of price paid, for a gourmand like me sometimes thinks of food only!! :P

So badly flattering time’s celerity as there is still more than a month for 19th feb to arrive and then India hosts the most appraised laurel in the world of cricket the World Cup 2011. Let’s see what god (and the Cricket God) has in store for us.
